Research Interests:

I am interested in pulmonary fibrosis and especially the role of the extracellular matrix in the lungs. I am studying how abnormal extracellular matrix in cases of pulmonary fibrosis effect cells behaviour and pathogenesis.

Projects:

  • The role of extracellular Heat Shock Protein-90 in pulmonary fibrosis
  • The role of abnormal extracellular matrix on fibroblast/myofibroblast differentiation
  • The role of matrix stiffness in myofibroblasts dedifferentiation
  • Mechanical stretch and pulmonary fibrosis
